Miami-Dade Expressway Authority (MDX), was created in 1994 by the the State of Florida and the Board of County Commissioners of Miami-Dade county. MDX was established to implement innovative transportation solutions that would improve driving in Miami-Dade County. MDX manages five major arteries in the county:
State Road 112 (Airport Expressway)
State Road 836 (Dolphin Expressway)
State Road 874 (Don Shula Expressway)
State Road 878 (Snapper Creek Expressway)
State Road 924 (Gratigny Parkway)
Together, this system consists of 35 center miles of roadway and carries more than 1,000,000 users each day. We are user-funded, not tax-funded. And we are committed to moving forward together, by improving our roads, the local economy and your overall quality of life.
